Spangles Iron-on Sparkle

A cost-effective way to get a sparkly design on just about any garment! Spangles are iridescent, sparkly metallic designs that iron onto most fabrics. They need a fairly hot iron, so make sure the fabric you want to use can handle that heat.

Polyester fabrics are good, so are cottons. Nylon Spandex may have difficulties.

Spangles can be added to:

  • dance costumes

  • sublimated fabric

  • custom sportswear

  • dance shoes

  • synchro swimsuits

HOW TO APPLY SPANGLES

  1. REMOVE THE PROTECTIVE BACKING FROM THE DESIGN.

  2. PLACE THE SPANGLE DESIGN ON THE GARMENT IN THE DESIRED LOCATION AND ORIENTATION.

  3. COVER SPANGLE FILM WITH A THIN CLOTH (COTTON OR POLYESTER) AND PRESS IT WITH AN IRON OR HEAT PRESS -- NO STEAM!

    1. DO NOT RUB THE FILM

    2. TEMPERATURE 130C - 150C (260F-302F)

    3. DURATION 15-20 SECONDS

  4. WHILE COOLING, RUB FILM WITH CLOTH UNTIL COMPLETELY COOL.

  5. SLOWLY PEEL FILM OFF GARMENT WATCHING TO SEE IF ANY SPOTS HAVE NOT TRANSFERRED.

    1. IF ANY SPOTS COME OFF, STICK FILM BACK DOWN, REPLACE CLOTH, AND PRESS AGAIN. iT COULD BE THAT THE FIRST TIME WAS NOT LONG ENOUGH.

PLEASE NOTE, NOT RECOMMENDED FOR FABRICS THAT CANNOT BE IRONED AT THESE TEMPERATURES -- SUCH AS NYLON SPANDEX.

FOR BEST RESULTS, USE POLYESTER OR COTTON FABRICS, OR OTHER FABRIC THAT CAN HANDLE HEAT.

FOR CARE HAND GARMENT WASH IN COOL WATER INSIDE OUT.
